Claudia Teran serves as Executive Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs and Deputy General Counsel for Fox Networks Group (FNG).  In this role, Ms. Teran is the number two legal executive for the division responsible for all legal and business matters pertaining to FNG’s cable and broadcast network distribution, digital new media strategy, and corporate/business development. She works with the international division of FOX Sports Media Group (including FOX Soccer, FOX Deportes in the U.S., FOX Sports in Latin America, and the worldwide FOX Sports syndication sales business), Fox Hispanic Media, as well as FUEL TV both domestically and internationally. She was the chief legal executive supervising the launch of Fox’s new broadcast network joint venture (with RCN Television of Colombia), MundoFox.

Ms. Teran provides creative solutions to operational and strategic growth issues in rapidly evolving areas such as new media, international transactions, and Spanish language markets. She helps management navigate complex international markets with diverse political challenges.

Previously, Ms. Teran served as Senior Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs, for Fox Cable Networks (FCN) where she oversaw the business and legal affairs for several FCN divisions, including corporate and digital media as well as several cable networks.  Her responsibilities included licensing, distribution, production, marketing, affiliate relations, and complex transactional guidance.

Prior to joining Fox, Ms. Teran was a transactional attorney at Sidley and Austin, where she worked on behalf of private and public entities addressing a wide variety of business dealings and regulatory issues.

Ms. Teran resides in Los Angeles and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley and her law degree from New York University School of Law.
