The 12th Annual Hispanic Television Summit is the signature “must attend” annual conference for those in the business of television and video intended for Hispanic audiences.
Today’s Hispanic television business is more dynamic than ever. That’s why it’s critical to convene as an industry to adjust the collective definition of “Hispanic television.” And it’s why the theme of this year’s event is “Redefining Hispanic TV.”
The Summit will feature keynote interviews with corporate leaders, plus five roundtable discussions and a luncheon awards ceremony. Awards are presented in two categories: Outstanding Achievement in Hispanic Television, which is given to an individual, and Leadership in Hispanic Television, which is presented to one or more companies/associations for their service to the Hispanic TV viewer.
This year’s agenda will combine popular topics like advertising, programming, marketing & promotions, distribution technology, and production with fresh ideas that reflect the dynamic changes in the marketplace—which are most notably springing from the rapid adoption among Hispanics of new “smart” technologies, as well as the dramatic shifts within the diverse Hispanic consumer profile.
Each year, the Summit spotlights a particular genre. This year’s Summit will have an extra focus on sports. There will be a panel to discuss sports content and sports sponsorship, a special presentation about sports rights, a keynote addressing the future plans for telecasting the Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup and, a feature about a particular sports-related TV series, and a Leadership Award in Hispanic Television presented to Major League Soccer (MLS) which has worked to attract Hispanic TV viewers since the day it kicked-off the league.
